WHAT IS THE LOVE WALK?

The LOVE WALK is a Fun Run/Walk at the Phoenix Zoo which benefits Phoenix's local Dream Center, Hand of Hope World Missions and the Chaplaincy for the Homeless.

Your support and donations will be helping to provide a safe haven for homeless people, provide meals, rescue victims of human sex trafficking and minister to thousands of people both locally and abroad sharing the love of God.

The event is sponsored by A Servant Heart and Connecting To Serve, which are 501(c)(3) non-profit organization's who's primary mission is to bring people and their passions together in partnership. 

Why do we call it a "LOVE WALK"?

Love Gives, Love Sacrifices, Love Lays Down Its Life for Others 

When we speak of "love" here, we mean the kind of love that God has for us. It's a self-sacrificing love that endures personal pain and seeks the benefit of the other person. 

This is why we call this a LOVE WALK - by coming to the event and "walking" around the zoo, you are "walking in love" with people you don't know in a sacrificial way - making a difference in their life!!

The Phoenix Zoo is “voted one of the nation's top 5 zoos for kids!”   This walk is the perfect place to watch the sunrise and wake up with the lions, tigers, giraffes and monkeys around the Zoo. When you are finished you get to hang out ALL DAY for no additional costs.  This is the greatest place to have a walk!!!

Jesus said that the whole law of God hangs on the commandments to love God with everything you've got, and to love your neighbor as you love yourself. (see Matthew 22:37-40). Paul pointed out that all the commandments are summed up in the saying, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Romans 13:9)

This means that understanding how to love as God wants us to is really important.

It is our hope this event brings families together to encourage healthy exercise and to provide people of all ages the opportunity to experience the difference people can make in the world ........one step at a time.  This is how we "walk in love".

Registration for the walk will get you into the Phoenix Zoo for the whole day. Our sponsors, like Whataburger, Snapbooth and Starbucks will feed you and give you fun photos to take home before or after the event.!
